THE HEALTH EDIT
The book for Gen X women who are done doing health the hard way.
Women's health doesn't have an information problem. It has a design problem.
This book fixes that.
THE HEALTH EDIT: How Gen X Women Are Resetting the Script on Midlife launches September 2026.
THE PROBLEM WAS NEVER YOU.
You can be eating well, sleeping (sort of), taking the supplements, doing the things, and still feel flat. Foggy. Wired but exhausted. Heavier than you should be. Like your body is running on a system that no longer quite works.
That's not a willpower problem. That's physiology. And it's happening inside a culture that turned health into another performance to manage and optimise on top of everything else you're already carrying.
No wonder you're tired.
There's a smarter way in.
Most health advice tells you to fix everything at once. Overhaul the diet, move more, stress less, sleep better, balance your hormones. The overwhelm that follows isn't a sign you're doing it wrong. It's the inevitable result of trying to do all of it at the same time.
The Health Edit works differently.
It starts with one question: what's the highest-leverage thing to focus on right now? Then it gives you the One Essential Thing in that domain to actually move the needle. When you get that right, everything else starts to shift too.
Health doesn't change through perfection. It changes through strategic focus, compounded over time.
Part manifesto, part method.
The Health Edit is built on 20 years of clinical practice watching intelligent women blame themselves for outcomes that had nothing to do with effort or discipline.
It gives you:
A framework to understand what your symptoms are actually telling you
A way to choose where to focus instead of guessing
The One Essential Thing in each domain to start building real momentum
A review and refine loop so your health becomes a rhythm, not a constant restart
Ten domains. One focus. Real results.
These aren't separate boxes to tick. They interact — and when you make the right edit in the right place, the ripple travels further than you expect
This is for you if...
You're a Gen X woman who's done with the rules, restriction, and noise — the moralised diets and the quiet feeling that health is yet another thing you're not quite nailing.
You're not here to be fixed. You want a body and a life that can hold what you want to build next.
The Health Edit is part of Generation Reset — a collective stance for Gen X women who reject the script of decline and choose redesign instead. Health isn't a side project. It's creative power. The foundation that fuels clarity, resilience, strength, and what you want to build next.
HI, I’M SUSAN.
I'm a health strategist, cultural commentator, and Melbourne-based naturopath and nutritionist with 20 years in clinical practice.
I've spent two decades watching smart, capable women blame themselves for outcomes that were never about willpower. At a moment when GLP-1 medications, collapsing trust in health systems, and shifting body culture are rewriting the rules, I'm the person making the cultural argument, with the clinical receipts to back it up.
This book is everything I've learned distilled into a framework that actually works, for women who want clarity, momentum, and to feel like themselves again.
"Out of all the medical practitioners I saw, Susan was by far the most effective, knowledgeable, curious and impactful. She has helped teach me how to take better care of my body, inside and out — and set me on a better path to longevity and genuine wellbeing."
